SK4YS in Cyprus
The second international meeting of the Skills for You(th) through Sport #SK4YS project took place in Nicosia, Cyprus between 14-15. September. The meeting was hosted by the Cyprus Youth Council, in the Home For Cooperation situated in buffer zone of the world’s last divided capital.
The Erasmus+ funded SK4YS project aims to raise awareness on soft skills developed through sport practice in order to increase employability of young people with fewer opportunities. Partner organizations have already identified European Sport Plus and Plus Sport initiatives which will be classified in the SK4YS online database. In the next phase of the two years long project an educational manual targeting youth and sports organizations will be developed. It will provide practical tips on how to develop sport-based employability programs for young people not in education, employment and training (the so called NEETs).
ENGSO Youth and its partners are committed to raise awareness on sport’s added value to boosting specific soft skills and competences. In the upcoming months we’ll launch an online communication campaign to highlight these important skills.
