Season's Greetings from ENGSO Youth

Dear friends,

everyone at ENGSO Youth sends you best wishes for happiness, health and prosperity throughout 2022.

Despite the ups-and-downs and the many challenges young people had to face, we hope that 2021 has been an exciting year for you. It has definitely been for us.

We started the year with resolutions and seminars promoting sustainable development, through our project "Sport for Sustainable Development", and climate action, by joining the initiatives "Sport for Climate Action Framework" and "European Climate Pact".

Due to the ongoing pandemic, our Youth Assembly was held online. New Committee was elected and a new team of Young Delegates joined our movement. Also, we opened a call for an ENGSO Youth Alumni network, and welcomed our old friends into the club.

Throughout the year we wrote new position papers, hosted webinars, workshops and projects meetings, and even organised onsite events. Step In For Inclusion international activity was held in Lisbon, Portugal, and revolved around the topic of increasing participation and volunteering of young people with disabilities.

In autumn we added our signatures to the new initiative of the European Commission "Healthy Lifestyle 4 all" and SandSi and World Athletics' "AirQuality&SportAlliance". We also supported Lisboa Call for Sport Innovation and added our share to the European Youth Event in Strasbourg.

Many projects reached the finish line in 2021; SWinG, EYVOL, MONITOR and SCforH (Sport Clubs for health). New ambitious activities are planned for 2022, including the continuation of our transcontinental Sport4SD initiative.

We closed the year with the European Sport Platform in Vilnius, Lithuania, and a committee meeting Barcelona, Spain.

Although we live in uncertain times and the youth community is facing many challenges, we hope your 2021 was as happy, fun and exciting as ours.

Thank you for following our movement, keeping up with us, joining the conversation and for supporting and advocating for youth in Europe.

We wish you lots of enthusiasm, ambition, and joy this holiday season and throughout 2022.
