ENGSO Youth presents its youth, sport and health initiatives at Erasmus+ Sport Info Day 2022
The online Erasmus+ Sport Info Day 2022, organised by the European Commission and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), was held on 31 January - 1 February 2022.
ENGSO Youth committee member Iva Glibo participated in the session entitled “Erasmus+ Programme Priorities”, and presented the activities we have been implementing in the field of youth, sport and health, including the latest Mindfulness Challenge which is held within the framework of the #HealthyLifestyle4All initiative.
The aim of the Erasmus+ Sport Info Day was to inform the sports community about the programme’s novelties, priorities and funding opportunities available in 2022.
Commissioner Mariya Gabriel opened the 2022 edition of the #SportInfoDay and highlighted that #ErasmusPlus acts as a bridge between grassroots and elite, and presents a key element in supporting the European sport, now and in the future.
Tomasz Frankowski, Member of the European Parliament, emphasised the importance of providing an equal budget to the sport sector, given the sport's health, social and economic benefits, and the new opportunities it opens.

In 2022, the European Year of Youth, the Erasmus+ programme will celebrate its 35th anniversary.
Healthy Lifestyle 4 All initiative will be one of the priorities in 2022. Other priorities include: inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, environment and fight against climate change, and participation in democratic life, common values and civic engagement.
Commissioner highlighted the incredible response from the sports community and the high number of applications for the 2021 calls.
Budget for 2022; almost EUR 52 million. The goal for the future is to increase the budget and make the programme more open and inclusive.
