ENGSO Youth Assembly 2019

We are happy to invite you to join us at the ENGSO Youth Assembly 2019

which will take place in Frankfurt, Germany and will be hosted by the German Olympic Sports Confederation.

Alongside with the ENGSO Youth Assembly and the elections of a new ENGSO Youth Committee, you are also kindly invited to take an active part in the #ENGSOGA2019 programme from Friday 14th to Saturday 15th June:

 

  • Final Conference of ASPIRE project

  • ENGSO EU Seminar

  • Youth Workshops #SportforAll17

On the June 15th ENGSO Youth Assembly will vote a new ENGSO Youth Committee

 

(Chair, Vice–Chair and 7 members) for the mandate 2019-2021

 

The search for motivated candidates has begun and we appeal to you to encourage and support young people (up to 35 years old) from your organization to put themselves forward for election.

 

Nomination form

The Youth Assembly will, beside the elections, discuss the future work program, approve the budget 2019/2021 and adopt the standing orders.

Participants shall plan their arrival preferably by evening on Thursday June 13th and departure on Sunday morning, June 16th.

You can also book accommodation in another Hotel, but please note that organized buses to the venue and back will only operate between Motel One Frankfurt.

What does it mean to be an ENGSO Youth committee member?

  • You will be a part of an enthusiastic team who is promoting sport as a tool for development (and to change lives).  

  • You will find yourself in an environment where you can grow professionally and personally .

  • You will have the chance to shape European agenda through policy papers and advocacy for youth and sport. 

  • You will have the opportunity to make decisions for the development of youth sport.

  • You will have the opportunity to represent #ENGSOyouth in various events.

  • You will be able to support/follow international projects where you will be able to use sport as a tool to help people.

  • You will have the opportunity to build an international network.

 

 

What kind of engagements will you have as an ENGSO Youth committee member?

  • You will have 6 meetings per year + the General Assembly to attend.

  • You will need to host 1 committee meeting per mandate.

  • You will be involved in one of our working groups (you will be responsible to be up to date about your working group topic, develop position papers and create actions).

  • You might follow/support projects related to the topic of your working group.

  • You will need to spend approximately 3-5 hours per week to fulfil your responsibilities.

  •  

What kind of financial commitment your sending organization will have?

  • Your sending organization should financially support your attendance to ENGSO Youth committee meetings (Travel & Accomodation: Approximately 2000-3000 Eur/year)

  • Your sending organization should host ENGSO Youth committee for one dinner during the committee meeting hosted by your country

 

What does it mean to host a committee meeting?

 

You will have the opportunity to shape the agenda, facilitate the meeting and promote active programme afterwards, arrange meeting room, accommodation and food for our committee. You will be supported by ENGSO Youth Operations manager.
